Trippier signs contract extension at Newcastle
Kieran Trippier has signed a contract extension at Newcastle keeping him at the club until the 2024/25 season. He has lead Newcastle's march for Champions League football, and is part of a defensive unit that has kept 12 clean sheets in the Premier League this season.
PSG prepping third bid for Cherki
According to French outlet FootMercato, PSG are preparing a third bid for Lyon attacker Rayan Cherki. PSG are conscious that Lyon could definitively shut the door on a potential deal so they are treading carefully with the deal.
He has a goal and an assist to his name in Ligue 1 this season and would provide cover to their attacking department after the sale of Pablo Sarabia earlier this month.
Smalling still negotiating with Roma
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Chris Smalling is still in talks with Roma regarding a new contract, with his current deal expiring this summer.
He led them to their first ever continental success last season as Roma won the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League.

PSV want to sign Elanga

Leicester agree deal for Tete
Leicester have agreed a deal for Brazilian winger Tete from Shakhtar Donetsk according to John Percy from The Telegraph. He is currently on loan at Lyon in the French top division, but is expected to be Brendan Rodgers second signing of the January window despite interest from Leeds.
Chelsea join Liverpool in race for Berge
Chelsea and Liverpool look set to battle it out for the signature of Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge late on in the January transfer window, according to Football London.

Inter interested in Firmino as Lukaku replacement
Inter are looking at Liverpool's Roberto Firmino as a potential replacement for the struggling Romelu Lukaku, Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The Belgian has failed to recreate his form since returning to Italy on loan from Chelsea in the summer, while Firmino sees his contract expire at the end of the season.
Despite both player and manager Jurgen Klopp stating their desire for him to stay, no deal has been reached, meaning Inter are available to open talks with the Brazilian over a pre-contract.

Bournemouth holding talks with Zaniolo
Bournemouth are in talks with Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo over a potential move to the South Coast, 90min reports.
The 23-year-old has also been approached by AC Milan and Tottenham, but thus far these deals have stalled.
The talks come after the Cherries launched a €35 million (£30.7m/$38m) bid on Monday after the Italy international made himself available for a January transfer.

Borussia Dortmund have announced the signing of Belgian starlet Julien Duranville from Anderlecht. The 16-year-old pens a long term contract with the club, meaning Dortmund have tied down yet another promising star.

Bamba's agent distances himself from Arsenal rumours
Filipe Macedo Alves, agent of Vitoria Guimaraes midfielder Ibrahima Bamba, was potted in London which led to speculations that the player might join the Emirates in January.
However, Alves has cooled down such rumours and told O Jogo, "It’s true that I was in London, but I am just arriving from Germany, where I was watching Edmond Tapsoba’s game. Darmian agrees new Inter contract
Matteo Darmian has agreed to new terms that will keep him at Inter until June 2024, reports Gianluca Di Marzio (via Football Italia).
The 33-year-old's new contract also contains the option to extend for a further year, with him expected to sign imminently.
Inter will now focus on tying down midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu to new terms.

Ajax have confirmed they have parted ways with head coach Alfred Schreuder after a 1-1 draw with FC Volendam.

Maldini & Massara working on shoestring Milan budget
Milan sporting directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are having to try and bolster Stefano Pioli's squad on an extremely tight, essentially nominal budget.
That is according to Nicolo Schira, who adds that RedBird, Milan's new owners, will not sanction anything more than loan deals and there are to be no buy obligation clauses. The only money they have to work with is the €2.8m they received for the termination of Tiemoue Bakayoko's loan deal.

Fichajes, via Ekrem Konur, reports that Arsenal are ready to go big with an offer of around £75 million to try and steal Moises Caicedo away from Brighton before the end of the January transfer window.
