The United States international joined Benfica on a free transfer last summer after a spell with Wolfsburg but looks set to return to the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.

Chelsea would have sold Pulisic in January if not for injury


Chelsea wanted to sell Christian Pulisic in the January transfer window following the arrival of Mykhailo Mudryk, but an injury made it impossible.

Fabrizio Romano explained on the House of Champions podcast that the Premier League side would have sold Pulisic in this window, but the knee injury that will keep him out for around two months has put an end to their hopes of offloading him. However, it's said he could still leave in the summer.

Schmidt confident Enzo will stay at Benfica


Benfica coach Roger Schmidt says he expects Enzo Fernandez to stay at the Portuguese side following reports of renewed interest from Chelsea.

Benfica do not want to lose the midfielder and are holding out for the €120 million (£106m/$131m) release clause in his contract. Despite the reports, Schmidt believes Fernandez is happy to stay in Lisbon.

Bournemouth will complete the signing of goalkeeper Darren Randolph from West Ham and will take Matias Vina on loan from Roma, claims BBC Sport.

Randolph will provide competition for starting goalkeeper Neto while Vina will return to first-team action having been left out at Roma for most of the season.

Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Roberto Gagliardini from Inter, according to Calciomercato.

The midfielder's contract at the Serie A club expires in the summer and neither party wants to extend his stay at San Siro, so a move to the Premier League could be on the cards.

Benfica is set to submit a bid for Louisville City FC defender Joshua Wynder, according to Transfermarkt.

The 17-year-old defender has been in high demand in the United States with the USL Championship side already receiving multiple offers for him. The bid is expected to be above €1m which will make him the most expensive player in league history.

Newcastle not ready to overpay for Gordon, keep Ziyech as backup


Newcastle United will not match Everton's £60m asking price for Anthony Gordon, according to Telegraph Sport.

The Toffees must reduce the price for the deal to go through. Newcastle do have a backup plan in Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech. The winger is yet to shine under Graham Potter and the Blues might part with him at a cheaper price.

Leicester set their sights on Harrison


Leicester City are interested in Leeds winger Jack Harrison, according to Sky Sports.

Leeds have no intention to part with the winger and Jesse Marsch wants him to extend his deal in the summer beyond the current tenure of June 2024.

Previously, Newcastle United had also tried to sign Harrison but failed in their attempts.

Palace and Southampton set to fight for Semenyo


Crystal Palace and Southampton have joined the race to sign striker Bristol City Antoine Semenyo, according to Sky Sports.

Both Wilfred Zaha and Jordan Ayew will be out of contract in the summer and Palace and are looking for reinforcements.

Whereas, Southampton are also in the hunt for a forward after missing out on Danny Ings and Arnaut Danjuma.

Genoa defender Rady Dragusin is being closely followed by top Premier League clubs, claims his agent Florin Manea.

“There is serious interest from England in him,” Manea told Romanian publication Sport.

“He’s only been at Genoa for six months. Our plan is to let him play there for at least a year. We want him to play for a another year in Serie A, and then we think he’ll be ready for any top club in the world. The top five clubs in England are seriously watching him. But, for now, he’s doing very well at Genoa.”

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe did not give away anything on the speculations of Newcastle United pursuing Everton's Anthony Gordon.

“I can tell you absolutely nothing, I've been preparing for this game (League Cup match against Southampton) for two days," Howe told Sky Sports.

It has been reported that the Magpies have already held talks with Everton regarding Gordon and there is a belief that £40m will be enough to buy the 21-year-old.

Neither Arsenal nor Newcastle United have submitted an official bid for Real Valladolid's Ivan Fresdneda.

"(Fresneda) has aroused the interest of many teams, but we have not received an official offer, but it is true that several clubs have contacted us and that interest of many clubs is real, but there is no official offer. We are not desperate trying to sell the player," commented Real Valladolid sporting director Fran Sanchez to Diario AS.

The 18-year-old right-back has been strongly-linked with the two Premier League outfits in the January transfer window.

Chelsea could sell Havertz for £53m (Sky Germany)


Chelsea must raise money through outgoing transfers to balance their rapid spending, and there is talk that the Blues could sell Kai Havertz for £53 million ($65.4m) this summer, reports Sky Germany.

While Bayern Munich are said to be uninterested, other clubs are ready to enter the race for the 23-year-old.

But Havertz is reportedly happy with Graham Potter's management style at Stamford Bridge and may resist a sale - much as Frenkie de Jong pushed back on Barcelona using him as a pawn to bring in money last summer.
