Liverpool secure their place in the next round of the EFL Cup with a thrilling penalty shoot-out victory over Derby. They were unable to break down their visitors across 90 minutes at a packed and atmospheric Anfield, despite bringing on the big guns toward the end of the second half. But the heroics of Kelleher during the penalty shoot-out - he made three saves - won the tie for the Merseyside outfit.

This is Derby's third game of this season's EFL Cup - they've already seen off Mansfield Town and West Brom to make it to Anfield. Derby are currently placed seventh in League One having taken 25 points from their opening 16 fixtures. If they could pull off an unlikely result here tonight it could be a real morale booster for the third-tier side.
This is Liverpool's first EFL Cup game of the season but they've already been busy boys. The Merseyside outfit are currently sitting eighth in the Premier League having taken 19 points from their opening 13 fixtures. They're already out of the title race so the EFL Cup is a viable opportunity for silverware.
