Egypt's first change was effected a minute after the hour mark when Salah Mohsen was substituted by Hamdi. Australia's Jay Rich Baghuelou came on for Lachlan Wales in the 63rd minute before Baccus was yellow-carded in the 77th minute as the side upped the tempo in search of an equaliser.

Two more changes for Egypt were made in the 79th minute as Ibrahim Adel and Nasser Mansi were thrown into action to fill the places of Taher Mohamed and Ahmed Ryan.

Hamdi scored the second goal for the North African side in the 85th minute before a further change was made in the 90th minute when Nasser Maher entered the game and replaced Ramadan Sobhi.

Emam Ashour was brought on in the additional minutes when Tawfik was rested as Egypt fought hard not to concede in the seven minutes that were added.

Caleb Watts was replaced by Nicholas D'Agostino as Conor Metcalfe paved the way for Cameron Delvin in the second minute of added time.
