The Brazilians have made changes to the team which lost to Matsatsantsa last week Friday

Wounded Mamelodi Sundowns visit Chippa United for Wednesday's Premier Soccer League clash at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Fresh from last week's 2-1 defeat by SuperSport United, Masandawana will be seeking to pick themselves up and claim the top spot on the table.

They have so far suffered two losses in this campaign, leaving their critics saying it could be the end of the Brazilians' dominant era in the PSL.

But the Sundowns coaches will try to sharpen their tactics and select the meanest line-up to recover from last week's setback.

Find out Masandawana's starting XI.

  • Ronwen Williams, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    GOALKEEPER - Ronwen Williams

The Bafana Bafana captain was breached twice by his former team last week and would be keen to avoid conceding for the second successive match.

He has been Sundowns' first-choice goalie this season and would not want to lose his place to Denis Onyango.

  • Khuliso Mudau, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    RIGHT-BACK - Khuliso Mudau

Mudau's absence was clearly felt against SuperSport and his return would help them on Wednesday.

It was the first time the former Black Leopards star missed a league match this season, having started five games.

He replaces Thapelo Morena who has been dropped to the bench.

  • Aubrey Modiba, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    LEFT-BACK - Aubrey Modiba

When Modiba came on for Lyle Lakay in the second half against SuperSport, he improved some attacks from the left wing.

The former SuperSport United star has now been recalled to the starting line-up.

  • Rushine de Reuck, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    CENTRE-BACK - Rushine de Reuck

The Bafana defender has started five games in the season he has so far managed to stay injury-free.

  • Mothobi Mvala of Mamelodi Sundowns.

    CENTRE-BACK - Mothobi Mvala

The Bafana international has been recalled to the starting line-up - replacing Denis Onyango in central defence.

It is Mvala's first start of the season.

  • Andile Jali, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - AndileJali

The midfielder's experience is needed in this game where Sundowns are trying to lose points again.

  • Teboho Mokoena, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Teboho Mokoena

Mokoena is yet to score a goal or make an assist in six league appearances this season.

But he is a player who has a goal or two in his legs on his day especially scoring from long range.

  • Themba Zwane, Mamelodi Sundowns, August 2022

    ATTACKING FORWARD - Themba Zwane

The goalscoring midfielder has failed to score in his last six competitive matches he will be keen to end his goal drought.

  • Marcelo Allende.

    RIGHT FORWARD - Marcelo Allende

The Chile international has been handed his second start of the season and he will be looking to unsettle the Chippa defence with incisive runs from wide areas.

  • Neo Maema Mamelodi Sundowns

    LEFT FORWARD - Neo Maema

The 26-year-old will be hoping to grab his first assist of the season to justify the seven starts in all competitions.

  • Peter Shalulile Mamelodi Sundowns.

    CENTRE-FORWARD - Peter Shalulile

It looks like Sundowns coaches are trying to establish a combination of twin attackers between Shalulile and Nasir.

They will be hoping to be a mean attacking machine to Chippa's defence.
