Ronwen Williams - 6.5/10
Decent game in goal.
Williams produced two fabulous saves and he also came out to collect crosses with ease. However, he was beaten hands down by Lefa Hlongwane shortly after he had denied Bathusi Aubaas.

Khuliso Mudau - 5/10
Endured a poor start to the game.
Mudau was kept busy by the hard-running Lindokuhle Mbatha and when he pushed forward his crosses were surprisingly poor as his deliveries are usually good.

Aubrey Modiba - 6.5/10
Played much better than fellow full-back Mudau.
Modiba bombed up and down the wing to provide width for his teammates. The set-piece specialist had a chance to grab a late equalising goal, but he missed the target.

Rushine De Reuck - 7/10
Impressed on his return to the team.
De Reuck made a dominant start at the heart of the Masandawana defence and put in an encouraging performance. He made some well-timed clearances and interceptions.

Brian Mandela - 5/10
Unsettled by Aphelele Teto.
Mandela looked out of sorts against a pacey and creative Teto. However, his aerial prowess was important when Downs were defending against aerial balls.

Teboho Mokoena - 6/10
Worked hard in the middle of the park.
Mokoena made a decent start to the game and controlled the central areas of the pitch for the most part. However, he looked exhausted after the restart and he was replaced by Andile Jali.

Haashim Domingo - 6/10
Downs' chief passer.
Domingo did well to change the point of attack in midfield. He also got himself in goalscoring positions and he was denied by goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi twice before being substituted.

Neo Maema - 5/10
Couldn't make an impact on the night.
Maema struggled to receive the ball in Galaxy's half and had to drop deep to have it at his feet. He was substituted just after the hour-mark.

Themba Zwane - 5.5/10
Took up unusual positions.
This is because Galaxy did well to contain Zwane and he had one shot saved by Buthelezi. He was substituted after the restart having been neutralised by the visitors' defence.

Thabiso Kutumela - 5.5/10
Full of running.
Kutumela looked sharp as he made some promising runs, but his end product was poor and he was also substituted just after the hour mark.

Peter Shalulile - 5.5/10
Surprisingly operated on the wings.
Shalulile failed to make a significant impact in proceedings. However, he did register one shot on target after cutting inside from the right - forcing Buthelezi into a comfortable save.

Andile Jali - 6/10
Replaced Mokoena in the 64th minute and he looked sharp in midfield as he pulled the strings with his passing and movement.

Sipho Mbule - 5/10
Mbule failed to impose himself on the game and take control as he would have liked after coming on in the 64th minute.

Also came on in the 64th minute and he caught the eye on his debut as he made good runs to get into dangerous positions where he combined well with his teammates.

Sirino put in a decent performance - carrying the team forward and forcing Buthelezi into making a good save.
