Chiefs would be keen to recover from last week's 1-1 Premier Soccer League draw against AmaZulu when they visit Swallows FC on Sunday.

This is how they start.

  • Daniel Akpeyi, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2019

    GOALKEEPER - Daniel Akpeyi

thatThe current Amakhosi number one keeper produced some fine saves to keep his side in the game during their 1-1 draw against AmaZulu FC on Wednesday.

Akpeyi will be hoping to keep his fourth clean sheet of the season when he faces a Swallows side which has failed to score in their last four league games.

  • Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    RIGHT WING-BACK - Ramahlwe Mphahlele

The experienced, versatile defender made a substitute appearance against AmaZulu as he replaced an injured Reeve Frosler 25 minutes into the game.

Mphahlele, who helped Amakhosi keep a clean sheet against Maritzburg United last weekend, when he started the game, has been handed a starting berth.

  • Austin Dube Kaizer Chiefs

    LEFT WING-BACK - Austin Dube

The utility defender is back after last playing in October.

  • Daniel Cardoso, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Daniel Cardoso

The tough-tackling centre-back was nowhere to be seen when Bonginkosi Ntuli scored to level matters for AmaZulu at FNB Stadium.

Cardoso, who remains one of Baxter's most trusted defenders, will be eager to produce an improved performance in the Soweto Derby clash.

  • Kearyn Baccus, Kaizer Chiefs, October 2020

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Kearyn Baccus

The 30-year-old will be featuring for the third time this season and this is his first league start.

  • Erick Mathoho, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2021

    CENTRAL DEFENDER - Erick Mathoho

The 31-year-old star is the only defender who has started all of Chiefs' 12 matches in the league this term as Baxter's first-choice centre-back.

Mathoho will be bracing himself for a battle with 2018/19 PSL Golden Boot winner, Mwape Mulenga, who will be hungry to score his first goal for Swallows.

  • Anthony Akumu, Kaizer Chiefs, September 2021

    CENTRAL MIDFIELDER - Anthony Akumu

The Kenya international might be recalled to the starting line-up with Chiefs missing Njabulo Ngcobo and Cole Alexander due to suspension.

It would be Akumu's second start of the season in the league having started in Amakhosi's 2-1 win over SuperSport United on October 24.

  • Khama Billiat, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRE-FORWARD - Khama Billiat

The Zimbabwean has recovered from illness which saw him miss the AmaZulu match.

  • Happy Mashiane

    ATTACKING MIDFIELDER - Happy Mashiane

Mashiane will be playing his second match of the season and this is his first start.

  • Keagan Dolly, Kaizer Chiefs, October 2021

    RIGHT FORWARD - Keagan Dolly

The Westbury-born attacker was involved in the build-up to Chiefs' goal in midweek as his square pass was turned home by Keagan Buchanan for an own-goal.

Dolly's dangerous runs, shooting ability and incisive passes are likely to create problems for the Swallows defence which has failed to keep a clean sheet in their last two league games.

  • Bernard Parker, Kaizer Chiefs, August 2021

    CENTRE FORWARD - Bernard Parker

The two-footed forward struggled to make an impact against AmaZulu and he was replaced by fellow former Bafana international Manyama.

Baxter could keep his faith in Parker, who has scored three goals in his last five league matches.
