Chelsea contemplating signing Dusan Vlahovic after Nkunku injury
ESPN indicates that Chelsea's stance on Dusan Vlahovic has shifted, prompted by Christopher Nkunku's recent surgery. The Frenchman's knee injury, sustained during pre-season, necessitated surgery, sidelining him for a minimum of three months. This setback poses a significant challenge for Stamford Bridge, given the limited options beyond newcomer Nicolas Jackson.
As Chelsea engages in discussions with Juventus over a potential deal for Romelu Lukaku, ESPN reports that the club is exploring the prospect of securing Vlahovic. However, disparities in valuation between the two sides complicate matters; Juventus appraises the Serbian at €80 million, while the Blues value Lukaku at €45 million, rendering a swap deal intricate.
Mauricio Pochettino not keen on Chelsea signing Neymar this summer
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea may not make a move to sign Neymar this summer as new manager Mauricio Pochettino is not keen on a reunion with the forward. The PSG star has reportedly been put up for sale by the club, with them open to offers starting from £50m. That has attracted attention from several clubs across Europe including both Chelsea and Barcelona.
Yet despite that, the Evening Standard has reported that the Blues’ may step out of any potential race because of Pochettino and the 31-year-old’s wage demands. Neymar reportedly earns around £600,000 per week in Paris which makes any move for him financially tough. Furthermore, the Evening Standard has also revealed that the Blues, in line with Pochettino and their sporting directors, are looking to sign younger players rather than superstar names.
Moises Caicedo skips Brighton training to force move to Chelsea
As reported by the Evening Standard, Moises Caicedo, Chelsea's primary target, deliberately missed Monday's training session in an attempt to push for a move to the Blues. This comes after Brighton rejected three offers for the 21-year-old with the Seagulls refusing to budge on their £100m valuation. It has frustrated Chelsea and reportedly, the Blues are now considering other options as well.
Despite Caicedo's clear desire to join Stamford Bridge, the Evening Standard's report indicates that Brighton anticipates his availability for their league opener. With a match against Luton Town scheduled for August 12th, Brighton's chief executive, Paul Barber, expects Caicedo to play a pivotal role in the upcoming fixture.
Chelsea and Juventus still in talks over Lukaku, Vlahovic swap deal
As per Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Juventus remain engaged in negotiations for a potential swap involving Dusan Vlahovic and Romelu Lukaku. The Old Lady are still keen on signing Lukaku, but the feasibility of the exchange depends on Blues’ stance regarding the Serbian striker. Reports have revealed that Stamford Bridge side are having internal deliberations to determine the merit of pursuing Vlahovic.
Romano indicated that Juventus are unwavering in their demand for an additional €40 million alongside Lukaku in the deal. However, Chelsea reportedly holds the belief that they can negotiate a reduction in this amount. Nevertheless, the progression of any transaction hinges on the outcome of these internal deliberations, as well as Mauricio Pochettino’s decision, who remains undecided regarding the proposed swap.

West Ham eyes Armando Broja as potential Scamacca replacement
According to the Guardian, West Ham are looking at Armando Broja as a potential replacement for Gianluca Scamacca with the Hammers keen on improving their squad. The Italian striker faced challenges fitting in with the east London club and sought a departure this summer, with Atalanta poised to secure him in a €30 million deal. However, this leaves David Moyes' team in need of attacking alternatives, and they are exploring several options.
Amid the options, Broja stands out as West Ham's primary target. The forward's prominence has diminished due to the arrivals of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson. Nevertheless, The Guardian reveals that the 22-year-old's future is intertwined with Chelsea's plans; their pursuit of another forward, notably Dusan Vlahovic, could influence Broja's potential move.
Chelsea set to submit 'take it or leave it' bid for Moises Caicedo
As reported by Rudy Galetti, Chelsea are gearing up to submit a fresh and definitive offer for Moises Caicedo, hinting that this could be their final bid. Negotiations between the Blues and Brighton are still ongoing over a move for the 21-year-old yet an agreeable fee remains elusive. Despite making four bids, including one worth approximately £80m, Chelsea have faced consistent rejection.
The situation stems from recent indications that Brighton is steadfastly seeking £100m, prompting Rudy Galetti to highlight Chelsea's forthcoming proposal as a "take it or leave it" proposition. The impending offer is expected to align closely with Brighton's desired figure, incorporating add-ons. The London club remains optimistic about the feasibility of sealing the deal.

Chelsea looking to swap Lukaku and Koulibaly for Onana
The Sun has reported that Chelsea are plotting a swoop of Andre Onana and are looking to offer two players in an exchange deal with Inter Milan. Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to bring Onano to Stamford Bridge in the hopes of changing the situation at the club and is looking to offer Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly in exchange for the shot-stopper.
Lukaku, who is on loan at Inter, has expressed his desire to continue with the Nerazzurri as he's not willing to return to the Premier League. While Inter have had a long-standing interest in Koulibaly who's had a below-par season with the Blues since his departure from Napoli.
With the Italian heavyweights vying for two Chelsea players, Pochettino could negotiate with Inter who are prepared to attach a heavy price tag on Andre Onana.
Meslier will only join Chelsea if he's the first choice goalkeeper at the club
According to multiple reports, Illan Meslier is interested to join Chelsea next season but with the condition that the French goalkeeper will be awarded the starting position in the eleven at Stamford Bridge. The French goalkeeper had a staggering season but failed to help Leeds United from going down to the Championship.

Speaking to Foot Mercato, Meslier said: “If it is to go and be on the bench, I’m not interested in that. If it’s to be the number one, of course, you can’t say ‘I’m not interested in Chelsea.’ I’d prefer to go to a less reputable club where I’ll have more game time than a top European club where I’d sit on the bench.”
