That's it from us. We hope you've enjoyed our live coverage of another pulsating Champions League tie, and we'll see you next time!
While Inter will enter next month's Champions League final as clear underdogs against either Real Madrid or Manchester City, they should not be written off after posting a fifth clean sheet in six knockout games. Milan, meanwhile, have a fight on their hands to return to this competition next term, having fallen behind in the race for a top-four finish in Serie A.
A huge roar greets the final whistle as Inter clinch a place in the Champions League final, a 1-0 win over rivals Milan sealing a 3-0 aggregate success! The Nerazzurri entered the game in a strong position, and they produced a brilliant defensive performance to keep Pioli's men at arm's length for long periods, before Martinez decided the second leg by drilling beyond Maignan 16 minutes from time. The Rossoneri failed to land a blow as Diaz and Leao missed decent first-half chances, and Inter certainly deserved to advance over the two legs.
90' + 3' FULL-TIME: INTER 1-0 MILAN (3-0 AGG).
90' + 3' Acerbi nods behind for a Milan corner, which will surely be the last action of the game. Lukaku heads clear, and the celebrations can begin!
90' + 2' Lukaku goes close! Inter keep the pressure on and the Belgian striker shoots low through Kalulu's legs. Maignan is there to prevent any further punishment for Milan, blocking the shot at his near post.
90' There will be three additional minutes played at San Siro. Maignan flaps at Bastoni's cross as Inter hunt a third... but Milan escape.
89' Milan have never previously gone four consecutive games without scoring against Inter in their history. If they can't find a route through the Nerazzurri defence in the next few minutes, they will achieve an unwanted feat.
87' Tonali is left in a heap following a collision with Correa. Milan hoist the free-kick forward, but it's easily dealt with by a well-drilled Inter defence.
86' Martinez has now scored 25 goals for Inter across all competitions this season, with only Victor Osimhen (28) netting more for a top-flight Italian team in 2022-23.
R. Gagliardini
N. Barella
84' Gagliardini is also on as Inter look to see out the last few minutes without incident. Midfield livewire Barella is off.
J. Correa
Lautaro Martínez
84' That might be the loudest cheer of the game, as Martinez receives a standing ovation upon his withdrawal. Correa takes his place up front.
83' Lukaku barges into the box and fees Martinez, who forces Kalulu to go to ground to block his low drive. Inter look the more likely scorers, with Milan's belief completely shattered.
Lautaro Martínez
Yellow Card
81' Martinez was also too vocal in the aftermath of that Krunic challenge, so he follows Tomori into the book.
F. Tomori
Yellow Card
81' Krunic's challenge causes another scuffle, and Tomori is booked for his part in it.
R. Krunić
Yellow Card
81' Krunic catches Barella with a late challenge in midfield, earning a yellow card.
80' Inter's corner comes to nothing, but the Nerazzurri supporters do not care one bit. The atmosphere is absolutely electric in San Siro as we enter the final 10 minutes of this tie.
S. Tonali
Yellow Card
79' Tonali joins Barella in being cautioned.
N. Barella
Yellow Card
79' Barella and Tonali become involved in a scuffle ahead of Inter's corner, and the Nerazzurri midfielder is booked.
78' Martinez goes close again! The World Cup winner attempts to loft a shot over Maignan, with the Milan goalkeeper off his line. Back-pedalling, the Frenchman tips it behind for a corner!
D. Origi
Brahim Díaz
76' Origi is also on for the Rossoneri, with Diaz making way.
A. Saelemaekers
Junior Messias
76' Saelemaekers replaces Messias on Milan's right flank, but it is surely too little, too late now.
75' Martinez's strike sparks wild celebrations from Inter players and fans alike! What a moment for the Argentine, who looks to have sent the Nerazzurri to their first Champions League final since 2010!
R. Lukaku
74' Lukaku initially looked to have taken one touch too many, but Milan's marking was slack as the Belgian found Martinez, who powered his left-footed shot into the bottom-left corner! Maignan got a hand to the ball, but he couldn't keep it out!
Lautaro Martínez
74' GOAAAAAAAL! 1-0! INTER ARE HEADING TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL! The Nerazzurri have looked the more threatening side since the break, and Martinez has given them a 3-0 aggregate lead! The Argentine cuts back for Lukaku in a crowded area, and the Belgian striker keeps his composure to feed a return ball back to his partner, who beats Maignan for power at his near post! The Nerazzurri fans can book their tickets to Istanbul!
72' Martinez gets his first chance to combine with Inter substitute Lukaku. The Chelsea loanee then finds Barella in the right-hand channel, but Tomori gets back to cover and Milan regain possession.
70' Milan have not attempted a single shot since half-time. Inter have managed this game brilliantly, and they have just 20 further minutes to navigate.
69' Half-chance for Milan! The Rossoneri finally come close to carving Inter open, but Diaz's cushioned header runs too long for Messias, allowing Onana to claim the ball.
68' With 13 goals and 10 assists across all competitions, Leao has contributed to more goals than any other Milan player this season. He's yet to inspire the Rossoneri in this match, squandering a fine chance to open the scoring in the first half.
67' Leao attempts to trick his way past Acerbi, only for the ball to deflect back off the Rossoneri man and go behind for an Inter goal-kick. Milan look lost for ideas now.
R. Gosens
F. Dimarco
66' Gosens, meanwhile, replaces the tireless Dimarco on the left.
R. Lukaku
E. Džeko
66' Inter respond to that change with two of their own. Lukaku receives a fine reception as he replaces Dzeko.
P. Kalulu
M. Thiaw
64' Milan appear to have had a change of heart over their substitution, with Kalulu on for the injured Thiaw, rather than Kjaer.
63' The atmosphere at San Siro is showing no signs of dying down. The Inter fans are in fine voice, knowing they are around 30 minutes away from being able to book a ticket to Istanbul!
62' Thiaw goes down and requires treatment, having been involved in an innocuous collision with Dzeko. Kjaer is ready to come on for Milan.
61' Tomori does well to dispossess Martinez and set Milan on the attack, but it breaks down when Messias bends a left-footed cross out of play. That's so poor from the Rossoneri wideman.
59' Dimarco clips Calabria as Milan look to break out of their own half. The Rossoneri want a booking for the Inter wing-back, but it is not forthcoming.
58' Leao goes down in the area and casts a hopeful glance at referee Clement Turpin, suggesting he was pushed by Dumfries. The Milan attacker was never likely to reach Diaz's overhit cross anyway, and there was certainly not enough contact to warrant a penalty.
57' Dzeko slices a wild cross out of play on the left flank, but Inter have definitely been the better side in the early stages of this second half. Pioli must be pondering changes.
M. Thiaw
Yellow Card
56' Thiaw becomes the first player to be cautioned. The Milan defender can have no complaints, he was beaten by a neat flick by Martinez and opted to haul the Argentine to the ground.
54' There were 22 fouls committed during the first half, the most in the opening half of a Champions League game this season. Given the high stakes and the animosity between these teams, things could get more tetchy as the match continues.
52' There's a VAR check for a potential red card for Acerbi, who certainly knew what he was doing with that stamp on Tonali's foot. There will be no further punishment for the Inter defender, who may be slightly fortunate.
51' Calhanoglu is felled by Messias near the touchline and Inter opt to work the ball short in search of a better crossing angle. The referee eventually halts play, with Tonali going down in a crowded penalty area – Acerbi appeared to stamp on his foot.
49' Inter have shown no signs of dropping deep since the restart, keeping possession calmly in midfield. Dzeko attempts to release Dimarco in behind, but Maignan rushes out to collect the ball.
48' All three of Milan's goals in this season's Champions League knockout stages have been scored in the first half of games. That stat does not bode well for the Rossoneri – they need to breach Inter's backline twice.
47' Martinez tees up Dimarco for a volley, which is blocked by Thiaw. The Nerazzurri know a goal would surely put this tie to bed.
46' Milan kick us off for the final 45 minutes of this last-four tie. Can they stage a dramatic comeback?
Despite enjoying most of the possession, Milan have only managed four shots to Inter's seven, with both sides only hitting the target once. The Rossoneri have certainly looked up for the fight, but they will need to throw caution to the wind soon. With the likes of Origi and Saelemaekers in reserve, will Pioli turn to his bench?
It's half-time in the second leg of this Champions League semi-final tie, and Inter are just 45 minutes away from the final! Milan have produced a much-improved performance compared to their meek showing last week, creating the two best chances of the game. Diaz placed his finish too close to Onana when unmarked in the area early on, before Leao side-footed wide after breaking in behind. Inter, however, have looked threatening at the other end, particularly from set-pieces. They will be delighted with the position they find themselves in.
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: INTER 0-0 MILAN (2-0 AGG).
45' + 2' Milan enjoy a sustained spell of possession in Inter's half, but the Nerazzurri block is proving difficult to penetrate. Inzaghi's men still boast a 2-0 aggregate lead and are happy to retreat into a 5-3-2 shape without the ball.
45' We're into three additional minutes at the end of this half. Dumfries almost benefits from Hernandez's mistake in the Milan area, but the wing-back is soon crowded out.
44' A swift Milan break leads to Acerbi blocking Leao's cross, before Diaz follows up with a firm volley from the edge of the area. Again, a black and blue shirt is in the way as the Rossoneri are frustrated.
M. Brozović
H. Mkhitaryan
43' Mkhitaryan attempts to play on, but he soon goes down to the turf once again. His semi-final is over, with Brozovic taking his place in the Inter midfield.
41' Now Martinez snatches at a left-footed strike from the edge of the area, sending it high and wide of Maignan's goal. There's a concern for Inter now, with Mkhitaryan down in midfield.
39' BIG SAVE! Action at both ends as Maignan is tested. Calhanoglu whips a deep free-kick into the Milan area, where Martinez flicks a header towards goal. The Rossoneri goalkeeper reacts superbly to keep his powerful effort out as the game remains goalless!
37' HUGE CHANCE! Leao should have halved the deficit! The Portugal international breaks clear of Darmian and faces up to Onana. The angle is tight, but he should do far better with a left-footed finish which trickles across the face of goal and goes wide.
36' Milan are – to their credit – doing a better job of putting Inter under pressure than they did last week. Acerbi has to be alert to head Diaz's cross away from Giroud.
35' We're into the final 10 minutes of an opening period which has been played with plenty of intensity, but Inter's defence has stood firm so far – Diaz's early chance remains the best opportunity of the game.
34' Throughout Champions League history, only one team has won the first leg of a semi-final tie by two or more goals and failed to progress, with Barcelona failing to go through against Liverpool in 2018-19, winning the first leg 3-0 but losing the second 4-0 at Anfield. Milan substitute Origi scored two goals in that game, including the Reds' fourth. Will we see him at some point?
33' Inter get their centre-backs forward as Calhanoglu stands over a deep free-kick, but the former Milan man floats his delivery straight into the grateful arms of Maignan.
31' Inter are enjoying a better spell now, with Dimarco pushing forwards aggressively to turn their 3-5-2 into a 4-3-3. Dumfries goes down clutching his head following a clash with Hernandez, but the Milan player had every intention of challenging for the ball, and he avoids a booking.
29' Maignan meets the corner with a firm punch, but Inter keep Milan penned back. Barella eventually crosses for Martinez, who sees a volley blocked by Krunic at close quarters.
28' Milan have enjoyed 55 per cent of the possession so far, but they have only managed two shots to Inter's three. The Nerazzurri's counter-attacking quality is on full display again as Barella runs at Tomori and wins another corner.
27' Nothing comes of Inter's second corner as Milan stand firm. Messias is then fouled by Bastoni. Pioli's men need to slow things down slightly, with the Nerazzurri beginning to build up a head of steam.
26' Inter's first corner is worked short to Dimarco, who sees his cross blocked. However, they swiftly win another on the opposite side, to be swung in by Calhanoglu.
25' Good move! Dzeko and Dumfries link up as the Dutch wing-back is released into the right-hand channel. He attempts to find Martinez at the far post, but Thiaw clears behind for a Nerazzurri corner.
23' Mkhitaryan is teed up by Dzeko on the edge of the area, but he's leaning back as he attempts a first-time shot, and it sails harmlessly over Maignan's crossbar.
22' There's a slight concern for Milan as Giroud grimaces and holds his leg after pressing the Inter backline. Having been without Leao last week, they can't afford to lose the Frenchman here.
21' Martinez does exceptionally well to escape the attention of three Milan players, darting over the halfway line before being tripped by Tonali. The Milan man is very fortunate to escape a booking.
20' Much was made of the vocal backing Milan received here last week, but Inter's fans are certainly matching it this time around, jeering a long spell of Rossoneri possession and cheering when Tonali hits a loose pass out of play.
18' Dimarco wins a foul off Messias near the touchline. The wing-back was vital in the first leg and has the joint-most assists in the Champions League this season, matching Vinicius Junior's tally of five for Real Madrid.
17' Despite their European pedigree, Milan – who need to score at least twice here – have only hit 15 goals in 24 away matches in the knockout stages of the Champions League, at an average of 0.6 per game. They've started brightly, but they need to find a way through this tough Inter rearguard.
15' Milan win a corner on the right, which Tonali lifts into the six-yard box. Dzeko makes a crucial contribution near his own goalmouth this time, heading the set-piece away.
14' This game has a far more competitive feel than the first leg, with both sides looking to exploit moments of transition by getting the ball forward quickly. Milan surely need to score the first goal to have any chance of reaching the final.
12' Inter go up the other end as Dzeko sweeps a pass out for Dumfries, whose neat cut-back finds Barella. Maignan makes himself big to keep his shot out, but the offside flag belatedly goes up.
11' SAVE! Milan go close! Tonali gets to the byline after Hernandez robs Barella. The midfielder cuts back for Diaz on the penalty spot, but his effort is tame and Onana is able to claim it. That's a huge chance for the Spaniard, whose finish lacked conviction.
10' CLOSE! Milan have made a much better start than they did last Wednesday! Giroud beats Onana to a looping cross, but Diaz is unable to tap his knock-down into an empty net as Darmian makes a vital clearance. Inter manage to clear the subsequent Rossoneri corner.
9' These rivals are facing each other for the fifth time in a single season for the first time ever, having already met twice in Serie A, once in this competition, and once in the Supercoppa Italiana. Inter have recorded three derby wins to Milan's one so far this term.
8' Barella finds space to lift a shot over the bar from 25 yards out. Milan escape, but they gave the Italy international far too much time to take aim.
7' Leao's first involvement sees him caught in possession by Dumfries, who he promptly fouls, giving Inter the chance to enjoy another spell on the ball.
5' Audacious effort! Hernandez takes aim from perhaps 35 yards out, hitting a fierce drive which only goes over the crossbar by a small margin. Onana looked uncertain, but he was ultimately able to leave it.
4' Danger, but it's a foul! Dimarco hares down the left and hangs an early cross towards Barella, who nods down for Dzeko to volley at goal. Maignan gets behind the striker's effort, but the whistle is blown. Barella fouled Tonali!
3' San Siro was a sea of red and black last week as Milan played the role of 'home' team. This time around, the Nerazzurri fans are dominating this famous old stadium, which is absolutely rocking!
2' Dumfries launches a long throw into the area as Inter look to make another fast start, but Dzeko fouls Hernandez, handing Milan a free kick.
1' The famous Champions League anthem has been played and amid another incredible atmosphere at San Siro, we are under way! Martinez with the first touch.
Inter have not been behind at any point in the knockout stages of the Champions League this season (W3 D2), keeping a clean sheet in four of their five games. If that doesn't change here, the Nerazzurri will book a place in next month's Istanbul showpiece. Will Inzaghi's men complete the job? We're about to find out as kick-off is fast approaching!
Pioli makes three changes to the side that started the first leg, with the most welcome of those coming on the left flank as Leao returns from his injury-enforced absence. Thiaw and Messias also come in, with Saelemaekers and Kjaer dropping to the bench, while Ismael Bennacer is out entirely. The midfielder is expected to miss six months after suffering a knee injury last week.
Inzaghi reverts to the same team which started last week's first-leg victory, having rotated heavily for Saturday's 4-2 win over Sassuolo in Serie A. Dzeko – who has scored on all three of his previous Champions League semi-final appearances – partners Martinez in attack once again, with Lukaku on the bench after scoring twice against the Neroverdi last time out.
MILAN SUBS: Antonio Mirante, Lapo Nava, Fode Ballo-Toure, Ante Rebic, Pierre Kalulu, Simon Kjaer, Alessandro Florenzi, Divock Origi, Tommaso Pobega, Matteo Gabbia, Alexis Saelemaekers, Charles De Ketelaere.
MILAN (4-2-3-1): Mike Maignan; Davide Calabria, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Sandro Tonali, Rade Krunic; Junior Messias, Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao; Olivier Giroud.
INTER SUBS: Samir Handanovic, Alex Cordaz, Roberto Gagliardini, Stefan de Vrij, Robin Gosens, Joaquin Correa, Raoul Bellanova, Kristjan Asllani, Danilo D'Ambrosio, Aleksandar Stankovic, Marcelo Brozovic, Romelu Lukaku.
INTER (3-5-2): Andre Onana; Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni; Denzel Dumfries, Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Federico Dimarco; Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez.
For Milan, the pressure is on. Deprived of Rafael Leao's attacking talents last week, they need a spectacular turnaround to reach their first Champions League final since they beat Liverpool to win the 2006-07 edition. Stefano Pioli's side suffered a demoralising Serie A defeat at Spezia on Saturday, which left their chances of a top-four finish hanging by a thread. If they want to rub shoulders with Europe's elite again next term, they will likely need to win the competition this campaign.
Inter are just 90 minutes away from their first Champions League final appearance since Jose Mourinho led the Nerazzurri to their third European crown in 2010, having taken a 2-0 lead courtesy of a fine display in last week's first leg. Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were on target as Simone Inzaghi's men clinched their third win over the Rossoneri this season, and they come into this game in the enviable position of being able to dig in and defend their advantage.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this huge Champions League clash, as rivals Inter and Milan meet for the second leg of their semi-final tie at San Siro!
