Mamelodi Sundowns needed a late goal from Marcelo Allende to defeat AmaZulu FC 1-0 in a PSL on Sunday afternoon.
It is the Tshwane giants' third consecutive league victory and they maintained their lead at the top of the standings.
A few Masandawana players underperformed on the day including Peter Shalulile, but there are those who caught the eye.

Proved why he is Downs' number one keeper.
Williams was always alert when Usuthu launched a rare attack and he produced four great saves including a double save. His ball distribution was also important when Downs were attacking.
Solid performance.
Mudau ventured forward from the right to good effect while also coming up trumps defensively against Frank Mhango. He is undoubtedly South Africa's best right back.
Played well after being handed another start.
Ngobeni did well to contain Thendo Mukumela and also looked to contribute at the opposite end by striding forward to join the attack.
Quietly went about his business.
De Reuck had relatively nothing to do on the defensive front except making a few clearances. He also held his fort well and helped rotate possession from the back.
Rock-solid on his return to the team.
Kekana put in a strong display against Usuthu. The Bafana Bafana defender showed his maturity and experience in a good performance.
Another top-notch display.
Jali controlled the tempo as a deep-lying midfielder and laid accurate passes, while making vital interceptions when Usuthu were looking to combine in Downs' half.
Operated in a three-man midfield.
Mokoena was able to showcase his ability to carry the ball forward. However, He was unable to create any major chances.
Decent performance.
Mbule made great strides in Masandawana's midfield as he was good in tight spaces, made passes with good accuracy. However, he was substituted while looking tired.
Worked hard after being handed a rare start.
Saavedra got himself in good positions and combined well with his teammates. However, he was let down by some poor finishing.
Downs' best attacker amongst those who started.
Zwane was a menace while playing on both flanks, making attacking runs and creating chances. He was unlucky not to score his effort hit the woodwork.
Not himself on the day.
Shalulile was full of running, but he was tightly marked most of the time by Usuthu's defence, and when he got a race chance to score he failed to hit the target from close range.
Injected some urgency and creativity into Downs' attack when he came on in the 56th minute - Shalulile missed a big chance after Allende had set him up before the Chilean star grabbed a late winning goal.
Came on at the same time as Allende and he chased down every ball and not giving his opponents time in possession.
His speed and movement created problems for the Usuthu defence which saw him force goalkeeper Veli Mothwa into a fine low save having been introduced in the 56th minute.
Introduced in the 75th minute as he made his Downs debut - showing off some nice touches on the ball in the left flank, but he wasn't seriously tested defensively.
Too late to warrant a rating as he came on in stoppage time - making his second debut for Masandawana.
